Y'all have GOT to try this new recipe I just tried last Saturday. It is so yummy and SO easy!
FROSTY ORANGE PIE
1 pkg cream cheese, 8 oz, softened
1 can sweetened condensed milk, 14 oz
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate, 6 oz, thawed
1 carton frozen whipped topping, 8 oz, thawed
1 graham cracker crust, 9 inches
In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and condensed milk until smooth. Beat in orange juice concentrate. Fold in whipped topping until completely blended. Spoon into graham cracker crust. Chill for 3-4 hours before serving. Can garnish with dollops of whipped cream and mandarin oranges, if desired (looks real pretty that way). Can freeze up to 3 months. Very nice to have on hand for unexpected company or occasions where you suddenly need a dessert. A very good 'summer' dessert, as it is light and fluffy and refreshing!
Try it and let me know what you think!

Come on, now, SOMEBODY make the pie!! It only takes 15 minutes, I promise!!!!
I was at the store the other night ready to get the ingredients, but then I realized I left the recipe at home so I couldn't do it. I'll try this weekend.
Well, I'm glad to see someone is going to try this yummy treat! It's one of those that is so easy to make, freezes great so is very handy to keep one in the freezer for unexpected company or for just when you want a little something different. You could make it with any frozen juice concentrate, such as lemonade or limeade or even those strawberry daiquiri frozen mixes.
I just got home with the ingredients. I'll be making it sometime tonight. Right now I have the headache from Hades so I'm going to bed for a bit.
Well, well??? How was it?? :)
Decent. Different. Interesting. It was good, but it didn't make me say "Oh, this is the best thing ever". DJ tried it last night, but I forgot to ask him how he liked it. Doug hasn't tried it yet.
For an easy, quick dessert, I'd recommend it. Think I'll try strawberry the next time I do it.
Yes, that was my thought - it was really good, but not AWESOME! But what I liked was that it was SO EASY and very convenient to keep on hand in freezer for a quick and unusual dessert. I hadn't had anything quite like it, with the creamy orange flavor. And yes, I do think other flavors would be great too. The pink lemonade flavor is really good if you like tart things. (I put 2 drops of red food coloring in it, to make it actually 'pink' if you decide to make that one, otherwise, the Cool Whip and cream cheese make it pretty white.)
Can you believe this...with all the Eagle Brand, the cream cheese, and Cool Whip in that pie, when I went in the kitchen last night as the child was getting a slice, he was dumping SUGAR on the top of it!!!
But if I hadn't bought the large (says "2 extra servings" on the label) pie crust, all that filling wouldn't have fit in the standard size crust. It almost went over the edges anyway. Makes ALOT.
NO WAY!!!!! He did NOT put sugar on that pie, surely, mercy, goodness sakes alive!!! I can't even believe it! Talk about a sweet tooth! That takes the cake! Oh, and yes, I meant to write on the directions that even though it doesn't say it on the original, it DOES make TWO PIES!!! That's why I had one to take to work and one to put in the freezer!
Thanks alot ya goob!! LOL
Oh, and yes way, he absolutely did pour sugar on the top of it.
